International hybrid seminar discussing about Javanese and Chinese culture through literature works and anthropological food perspective held by Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and Faculty of Literature and Journalism Xihua University has run smoothly. This international event was held on Thursday (26/11/2021). The offline event was held in Seminar Room FIB UNS and shared online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application and FIB UNS YouTube channel. The speakers in this event were Dr. Dwi Susanto, M. Hum and Dr. Marimin, M. Si. As the first speaker, Dr. Dwi Susanto, M. Hum took the issue of interaction between traditional Chinese with Javanese tradition in Narration Story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yintai in Javanese Traditional Society. The evidence between these interactions has existed many years ago. “It can be seen through Salmon’ s research on Chinese loan word and Wiryamartana’s research about the equality of Old Javanese Literature narrative order with Chinese classic literature and other researches about culinary, architecture, agriculture, fashion (batik), etc.”, he said. Meanwhile, Dr. Marimin, M. Si talked about The Art Java – China Culinary Acculturation (Food Anthropological Perspective). He discussed about Peking duck and Sanbeji, both are represent the similarity acculturation of Java and China. “Various Chinese art culinary almost all can be accepted by Javanese. It is attached in their daily life. For instance, Peking duck and Sanbeji are easily called roasted duck, but they have different in their presentation. We can call it as Java and China acculturation similarity”, he said. The collaboration event between Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and Faculty of Literature and Journalism Xihua University has not over yet. Performing art festivals such as traditional Chinese lion dance (Barongsai) performance from Macan Putih Solo and traditional Javanese shadow puppet (wayang kulit) entitled “Gathutkaca Wisuda” performed by Ki Lucky Gusti Yoga and Ki Sofiyan Aditiya Firman, Local Literature Student, will be held on Friday (27/11/2020). All will be performed virtually with strict health protocol.
Inspire of Javanese philosophy (life should be a light and useful). Dhiya Restu Putra, student in Local Literature, Faculty of Cultural Science UNS, voluntarily chimed the birth of Dalem Pasinaon, a recepthen for elementary school students, in ur, Slogohimo, Wonogiri, in August of last year. Dalem Pasinaon has last year performed several varied activities, and has been able to create a smile of excitement for the remaining children, with the name of sinau together in the pasinaon. As for its activities it is reading storybooks, storytelling, drawing, coloring, singing national and regional songs. In addition to the children of Dalem Pasinaon also encourage parents, to follow the socialisai parenting with many interesting subjects, one of which is how to educate children in learning. In this socialisation Dalem Pasinaon invites several sources, which are creble and capable of giving knowledge to parents, and will later be applied to their children. “Early to date, every week on Sunday, Dalem Pasinaon carries out the activities named sinau along with dalem pasinaon. These activities made it easier for siblings to learn together about school lessons. Not to forget we also introduced younger brothers and sisters about the importance of protecting our environment in one way or another by making good use of an already unused item.
